Pedestrian Dies In Fall From DART Platform
CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A senior citizen was killed Friday afternon at the Downtown Carrollton DART Station after he stumbled off the platform into a moving train.
DART Spokesman, Morgan Lyons said the 67-year-old man was walking toward the train as it was leaving the station just before 5 p.m. Lyons says the man was pulled under and dragged nearly 200 feet to his death.
The train was northbound on the Green Line. The station reopened around 7:15 pm. Meanwhile, the Green Line was delayed more than an hour.
During the delay, DART ran a shuttle bus from its Farmers Branch and Trinity Mills stations ot the downtown Carrollton station.
