PD Searching For Armed Robber Who Stole Cash & Cigarettes

RED OAK (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are asking for help from the public finding the man who robbed a clerk at a Red Oak gas station convenience store last week.

Police gave specific details about the aggravated robbery that happened just before midnight on May 18.

According to officials, the robber entered the Exxon Tiger Mart in the 100 block of Harris Avenue and walked to the back of the store. After a few moments the man approached the counter, pulled out a silver-colored handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes from the store clerk.

The suspect ran from the business after having the items placed in a plastic bag. It isn't known how much money the man got away with.

The suspect is described as a Black man, believed to be between 18 and 24 years old, who stood between 5'8" and 5'11". The man weighed between 150 and 175 pounds, and at the time of the robbery was wearing black pants, a black zip-up jacket, a white under shirt and white athletic shoes. He had no facial hair and was wearing a short cut hair style.
