Partial Water Service Back In Weatherford

Limited water service has been restored to Weatherford after the city of nearly 28,000 started the week with little water for drinking due to a broken pipeline.
Officials said Wednesday that crews are still working toward a permanent fix to the pipeline problem discovered early Monday.
Assistant City Manager Robert Hannah told The Associated Press that the city has spent about $70,000 to distribute more than
500,000 bottles of water to residents. Hannah says water pressure was back to normal as of midday Wednesday, but conservation efforts will continue as the supply is tested.
A boil notice remains in effect.  Public water distribution has been scaled back to one fire station.
