Beautiful again tonight, and not quite as cool. The clear skies will stick with us as the wind begins to ease back out of the south.

THURSDAY
High pressure in the upper levels will hold on again tomorrow, with plenty of sunshine in our forecast. As low pressure develops over the central part of the country at the surface, our wind will pick up out of the south during the afternoon. A fantastic start to the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival.

SCATTERED STORMS FOR FRIDAY
FRIDAY
A trough of low pressure in the upper atmosphere will develop over the middle of the U.S. and swing over our area during the day Friday. The upper level trough will strengthen into a stronger, closed low pressure system once in gets to our east over Louisiana. Because the upper low is coming in at the angle it is, moisture levels will not be all that impressive for widespread heavy rain. We do think that there will be enough lift in the atmosphere for at least a few thunderstorms, with the more intense storms arrive during the afternoon/evening and mainly east of the DFW Metro area. Still I would expect a few storms even in the Metroplex around midday before pushing east. This doesn't look like a big severe weather event, but there could be a couple of stronger storms capable of coin size hail and strong winds. Winds will stay high but shift out of the north behind a cold front during the morning hours. This will make for a much cooler afternoon Friday. Overall rain chance: 40-50%

MORE SUN BUT COOLER WEEKEND
SATURDAY
The air will be sinking at all levels of the atmosphere on Saturday, which means lot of sun. But north winds behind Friday's cold front will continue, making for a chilly day, at least compared to what we've been used to this spring.

SUNDAY
A gorgeous day and nice way to round out the Main Street Fort Worth Arts Festival. Plenty of sunshine, light wind, cool morning, but a mild afternoon.
