Oklahoma State Sues Texas Assistant Over Playcalling

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Who's calling the plays for the Texas Longhorns? It may take a lawsuit by Oklahoma State against Texas assistant coach Joe Wickline to find out.

Wickline's former employer is suing him in Oklahoma for breach of contract seeking nearly $600,000. Wickline countersued, saying Oklahoma State has caused him injury and mental anguish and is interfering with his Texas contract.

Wickline was at Oklahoma State for nine seasons until he was hired by Texas in January and given the title of offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

Wickline's contract with Cowboys allowed him to leave without penalty only if he took a job as a head coach or offensive coordinator with play-calling duties.

The Cowboys say Wickline isn't calling Texas plays.
