Fort Worth Police Question Teen In Stepdad's Murder

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM)– Fort Worth Police are questioning a 16-year-old boy in connection to a murder. Investigators believe the teen may have killed his step-father.

According to investigators, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call just before 9 a.m. Sunday at the Surrey Oaks Apartments on the city's east side.

When officers arrived, they found a 47-year-old man unresponsive. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Further investigation revealed the man was apparently choked to death. Officers took the teen into custody where he remains under investigation in this case.

Police tell CBS 11 News the teen could possibly face murder charges, but all charges are pending an outcome of the investigation.

The victim has not been identified. Police are also waiting on his autopsy results.
