North Texas Sex Offender Rearrested For Child Porn

VAN ZANDT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A registered sex offender in Van Zandt County has been rearrested for gathering and selling child pornography.

Friday, officials with the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office executed a warrant to search the home of Robert Spain. Members of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service assisted Sheriff's with the search in the Ben Wheeler-area, about 79 miles southeast of Dallas.

Investigators collected evidence from the house and sent it to a forensic lab for analysis.

Spain, 48, was arrested and taken to the Van Zandt County Justice Center. He was booked on four counts of Promotion of Child Pornography, with a recommended bond of $200,000.

Spain has not been arraigned. arraignment. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
