North Texas Police Searching For Potential Child Predator

McKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in McKinney are concerned and on the lookout for a man who they believe is a child predator.

Investigators want to know if you recognize the man seen in the photo above.

Last Friday, on June 28, a woman and her 10-year-old daughter were shopping at a Target store in the 2000 block of North Central Expressway.

A man approached the girl after she had walked several aisles over from her mother. The man allegedly patted the girl on her backside told her she was "sexy."

The girl became upset and ran to her mother, who asked store employees to help find the man.

Workers reviewed store surveillance video and it showed the man watching from nearby and allegedly masturbating, while watching the girl was in the electronics section of the store. The two were out of camera view when the man allegedly approached the girl and touched her inappropriately.

Workers at the store were unable to find the suspect, who is described as standing about 6-feet tall, having a medium build, pale skin and a long gray ponytail. The white man is believed to be in his sixties.

The picture above is from surveillance video of the man as he walked out of the store. Police aren't sure what type of vehicle, if any, the man used to leave the area.

Anyone with information about the incident or who recognizes the man seen in the photo is asked to contact the McKinney Police Department at 972-547-2700.
