North Texas Food Bank Receives $24,000 Donation

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Charitable Foundation, Inc. teamed up with the North Texas Food Bank on Friday to help battle hunger in the DFW area. The foundation donated a $24,000 check to the food bank, enough money to help provide thousands of meals for North Texans.

That makes more than $70,000 donated by PwC to the North Texas Food Bank in the last three years.

In addition to the monetary donation, more than 70 eager volunteers from PwC were at the North Texas Food Bank's warehouse, located along South Cockrell Road in Dallas, to help sort and pack nutritious meals for area residents in need.

The North Texas Food Bank to works to provide more than 170,000 meals each day to residents across 13 counties.
