North Texas Daycare Worker Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Child
McKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - An employee of a North Texas daycare center has been arrested, accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Members of the McKinney Police Department and the Joint East Texas Task Force took Ronald Smith into custody Tuesday.
Smith was an employee at Little Professor's Montessori Learning Academy, in the 500 block of North McDonald Street in McKinney.
Police would not say if the alleged abuse actually occurred at the daycare center.
Anyone who has had contact with Smith or Little Professor's Montessori Learning Academy is asked to contact McKinney police at (972) 547-2726. Investigators are trying to identify any other potential victims.
Smith, 23, is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and is being held in the Collin County jail on $100,000 bond.
The Child Care Licensing section of Child Protective Services is also investigating the abuse allegations.
