NASCAR Fines Kyle Busch $25,000 For Gesture
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Kyle Busch has been fined $25,000 for the obscene gesture he made toward a NASCAR official at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.
NASCAR also placed Busch on probation through the end of the year for his actions in Sunday's race.
Busch was penalized for speeding at Texas and called into the pits to serve a one-lap penalty. While sitting in his car, he held up his middle finger toward the NASCAR official standing in front of the Toyota.
The in-car camera Busch had onboard caught the lengthy gesture, and NASCAR penalized him an additional two laps.
He apologized after the race for losing his temper.
