Murray Goes From Bench To Record Books

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - DeMarco Murray started the season for the Cowboys on the bench. He's going to end it in the record books.

As Dallas steamrolled St. Louis 34-7, Murray had his way with the Rams defense, running for a franchise-best 253 yards. Murray takes the Cowboys rushing mantle from Emmit Smith who set it in 1993, who took it from the previous owner Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett. It's fair to say Murray had a very good day on Sunday.

But even with his record breaking performance, Murray remains humble and will not jump to conclusions regarding his role with the Cowboys. "It's hard to say. Felix is our guy. I don't know what my role will be once he returns." He also adds that whatever his spot is on the depth chart, he'll do it with "a smile on my face."
