Motorcyclist Killed in Fort Worth Hit-and-Run
Police have now tracked down the other driver. Around 2:30 a.m. a Harley and a white car collided near the Fort Worth Stockyards at Main and Northside Drive. The motorcycle was heavily damaged and the rider, Fort Worth resident Luis Ruiz, was thrown some distance. An off-duty Arlington police officer was right there and did CPR until paramedics arrived. But despite their efforts, Ruiz died at the scene. The white car sped off but about an hour later, police tracked the driver down at his home where he was arrested on charges that include intoxicated manslaughter and failure to stop and help the victim.
