Morning rain and clouds the Saturday morning story, by afternoon the sun started to break out and temperatures warm to the low 90's. A breezy day with winds  from the the south 15-25mph. We'll keep a 10% storm chance around for the rest of the day, the better chance east and northeast of Dallas county.

A weak cold front moves over us tomorrow. Ahead of it temperatures will rise into the low 90's on a south wind. We'll have morning clouds and mid-day sun. Storm chances should hold over to later in the day and early evening. There's about a 20% chance.

On Monday we'll have a slight better chance of storms, peaking in the early afternoon.

The "Hot Switch" turned off since we rolled to the half-way point of August. Since the 15th the high has averaged 91° at DFW. The typical high is 96° this time of year.

TROPCIAL STORM ISAAC WILL BECOME A HURRICANE THAT HITS THE U.S.

The weather story of the next couple of days is the threat of Tropical Storm Isaac. It is moving across the mountains of Cuba today with 60mph winds. It is already bringing heavy rain to south Florida. A staggering 9.31" of rain fell  in the past 24 hours at Barahona in the Dominican Republic.

Here is the latest on the forecast track. Isaac should will likely hit the Key West chain on Sunday afternoon just below hurricane strength.

When the tropical storm hits the Gulf current, a circulation in the gulf that brings very warm water down the west coast of Florida, the storm will strengthen rapidly. It will quickly become a Category One Hurricane just SW off shore from Fort Myers heading into Monday morning:

Isaac will be churning heavy rain and strong winds into Tampa all day on Monday and into Monday night. Winds should  stay below hurricane strength in the city if Isaac follows the center of the foretasted track. Some of the models keep it a little further off shore.

Issac is going to slam into the panhandle of Florida somewhere around Panama City. It will likely be a Category Two hurricane by then with winds over 100mph. This will create wide spread damage as it moves onshore and gets to  Montgomery still packing 70mph winds.

Larry Mowry will update you on Isaac after the Cowboys preseason game tonight on CBS11.
