More Rain and Even Colder Temps for North Texas
A dreary start to our work week with off and on rain here on Monday. Temperatures have been in the 60s most of the day with the cloud cover and rain.
Rain will continue thru the night with some pockets of moderate rain overnight.
The rain that we are seeing is partially coming from moisture that was once Tropical Storm Sonia off the west coast of Mexico. Sonia has dissipated over Mexico but the stream of moisture is flowing right into Texas.
There is also an upper level disturbance over the mountain west that will move east over the next 48 hours.
That will eventually send a cold front into North Texas and end the rain, but bring us some pretty chilly weather.
That cold front will arrive Wednesday morning likely in DFW between 2am and 11am. There could be an isolated thunderstorm with the front, but severe weather is not expected and it looks to mainly be more rain.
Behind the front on Wednesday it will be windy and chilly with temperatures in the 50s most of Wednesday.
