More 100s in the Forecast and Very Small Rain Chances for North Texas

HEATING UP AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND...

Temperatures have been in the upper 90s the past two days, but by Friday into the weekend the 100s will return.  So far this year we have had ten, 100 degree days.

TOMORROW...

Winds will be breezy on Wednesday with gusts to 30 mph out of the south.  Not much relief from that breeze as it will just be blowing around a bunch of hot air.  High temperatures in some locations will make it to 100.  At DFW, I expect a high around 99.  Here's a look at the high temperatures for tomorrow across North Texas.

SMALL RAIN CHANCES...

An upper level disturbance will drop into Oklahoma and push toward the Red River Thursday into Friday.  This will bring isolated storm chances to the area each afternoon and evening on Thursday and Friday.  Coverage will be low but a few isolated storms will be possible.  Just like the storms we saw last week, gusty winds will be the main concern with these storms.  Here's a look at the high temperature for DFW and rain chances for the next three days.

WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK HEAT...
Temperatures will warm well into the 100s this weekend and early next week as the upper level high centers right over North Texas.  This was a common occurence last year, but we have yet to have it anchored right overhead this year like last year.  This means high temperatures will be between 102 and 106 starting Saturday thru at least Tuesday of next week.  It is possible too that if the high is stronger it could be even hotter.  These high temperatures will be close to record highs.  Here's the forecasted high for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week and the record high for each day.
