Miles Austin Holds Secret 'Tweet-Up' In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Twitter is making it easier than ever to stay in touch with your favorite celebrity or athlete.

Sunday, Twitter faithful found a way to meet Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin after he tweeted the secret location for his private party.

The first four hundred to arrive at Dallas' Iron Cactus received an opportunity to meet with Austin and one lucky person was given two tickets to this year's Super Bowl.

Tani Joy was the local winner and said she is addicted to twitter and uses it all the time to find out what is going on in Dallas.

After meeting Austin and receiving the tickets she told him she would "retweet" him a couple of times.

There were other twitter pros who said they used it to track down celebrities for autographs.

"I have probably 500 baseballs signed from celebrities," said John Smith.

Another said it's the thrill of the chase.

"Dez Bryant will say 'I am going to the mall, come find me," said Michael Pannell.

For Jimmy Moreland, it's all about being in the know.

"Twitter revolutionized everything I mean you know up to the minute free agency and draft picks," said Moreland.

Austin said he uses twitter but is careful not to divulge too much information.

"I think I got like 90,000 followers and to be able to reach 90,000 in a second…it can be a great thing or a terrible thing," said Austin.

Next week, Dez Bryant will be tweeting the location of the next party. An opportunity for Dallas fans to meet him and win another pair of Super Bowl tickets.
