Middle School Student Arrested For Bringing Gun To School

THE COLONY (CBSDFW.COM) -A Griffin Middle School eighth-grader was arrested after a staff member at the school found he had a handgun.
Someone tipped off an administrative staff member around 10:20 a.m. Monday that the student might have a gun on campus.
At that point The Colony Police say school staff immediately removed the student from class and discovered he did indeed have a gun.
They took the gun and called police.
Police say there had been no reports of threats or any physical display of the handgun while on school grounds.
This investigation continues.
