FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A memorial is being planned for the victims of a double murder in Fort Worth.
Philip Evans and Daniel Haros will be remembered on Thursday, as their friends still struggle to come to grips with their murders.
Fort Worth police arrested Cary Joseph Heath, a middle school teacher in Cedar Hill, saying he shot and killed the men after a friendly conversation at a Halloween party early Sunday morning.
Friends at the party say Haros and Evan were there for maybe 5 minutes.
Witnesses heard gunshots sometime later.
Investigators say Heath admitted to multiple people that he'd committed the murders, and reportedly even said this was the last time he would see his 1-year-old baby because he was going to jail.
Heath is held on a $1 million bond.
The memorial for Haros and Evans will be at Dalton's Corner in Burleson Thursday evening.
