McKinney Police Need Help Identifying Daytime Armed Robbers
McKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in McKinney are hoping the public can help them identify a couple of armed robbers bold enough to rob a store in broad daylight.
An alarm sounded around 5 p.m. on July 14 at an AT&T Store on Central Expressway.
When officers arrived they found employees inside the store, including a manager who said two men had robbed the store at gunpoint.
The manager said at one point one of the robbers walked to him as he stood behind the counter, pointed a gun at him and ordered him to lie on the floor. As he lay on the floor, the manager said a second robber entered the store.
The men proceeded to grab cell phones and money and then rushed from the store.
In addition to the witnesses, the robbery was captured on video surveillance video.
Video showed two Black males, one in a white shirt, rimmed Kangol-styled hat and shades. The second suspect was wearing a red baseball cap, a black t-shirt and black knee-length shorts.
