Mavericks Extend Mike James Through Season

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Mavericks announced on Monday that they have signed veteran guard Mike James for the remainder of the season.

The team previously signed the 10-year-veteran to two 10-day contracts -- first on Jan. 8 and again on Jan. 18. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In 9 games off the bench, James has averaged 2.9 points and 1.0 assists in 9.9 minutes per game this season. He scored a season-high 10 points on Jan. 18 in a 114-117 loss to Oklahoma City.

The New York native has played in 548 games (263 starts) with Miami, Boston, Detroit, Milwaukee, Houston, Toronto, Minnesota, New Orleans, Washington, Chicago and Dallas. He holds career averages of 10.2 points, 3.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 24.7 minutes per game.
