Mavericks' Cunningham Returning To Texas Legends
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Mavericks rookie guard Jared Cunningham has been re-assigned to the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League, the team announced on Monday.
Cunningham was originally assigned to the D-League on Dec. 11 and averaged 18.1 points, 3.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 37.0 minutes in seven games.
The 6-foot-4 rookie has seen action in seven games with the Mavericks in his initial campaign, averaging 2.0 points and 3.3 minutes per game. He was recalled to the Mavericks on Dec. 31.
Cunningham was selected 24th overall by the Mavericks in the 2012 Draft out of Oregon State University. Cunningham was selected first-team All-Pac 12 as a junior when he averaged 17.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
