Man Arrested For Threats, Unlawful Gun And Drug Possession At Club

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A man leaving the XTC Cabaret on North Stemmons Freeway ended up getting a ride to jail around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Dallas police say Joseph Robinson, 34, made a threat as he was going to his car and said he'd get a gun and shoot the whole place up.

The security officer says Robinson came back to the location and attempted to enter thru a non-authorized entrance.

The security officer said Robinson had two pistols in his waistband. The officer attempted to restrain him but Robinson resisted and pulled away. The security officer pushed him to the ground and was able to place the suspect in handcuffs.

The suspect suffered a laceration to his forehead and was transported to Parkland Memorial hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue where he was admitted.

The suspect was later released and taken to jail. Robinson is charged with making a Terroristic Threat, Unlawful Possession Firearm By Felon a Felony 3, Possession Of Marijuana, Possession of Control Substance and Parole Violation.

Ultimately, no shots were fired.
