Man Accused Of Running Over Officer Arrested

COCKRELL HILL (CBSDFW.COM) - The suspect accused of running over a Cockrell Hill police officer during a traffic stop on October 30 has been arrested.
Police said an informant told the Tool Police Department in Henderson County the suspect, Ramiro Silva Miranda, was staying in someone's home in Tool.
After some investigating, Cockrell Hill Police said Tool Police and the Henderson County Sheriff's Department arrested Miranda Wednesday morning.
Miranda is charged with aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon, in this case, a motor vehicle.
Bond is set at $250,000.
The traffic stop on October 30 happened in 4300 block of W. Jefferson Blvd.
Police said the suspect, who initially identified himself as Everardo Benavides-Perez, and is possibly identified as Everardo Robles, 29, handed over a fake Mexican Consulate card.
When Officer Daniel Dominguez opened the man's driver's side door and asked him to step outside of his red 1998 Chevy S-10 pickup, the man drove off.
Police said Officer Dominguez was dragged before being run over by the rear wheels.
He ended up with a broken ankle and bruises and is recovering at home with his family.
