Local Schoolkids Record Version Of 'We Are The World' For Ebola Fundraiser

DALLAS, Texas (1080 KRLD) - A group of elementary school kids from the Dallas area are looking to make a difference in the global fight against the deadly ebola virus.

The 1985 song "We Are The World" helped raise millions of dollars for charities since it was first recorded...and now it's helping victims of ebola thanks to students at Moss Haven Elementary in Lake Highlands.

Members of the school's Beta Club recently recorded a their own version of the classic to help raise funds in support of the organization Doctors Without Borders and their ongoing health care efforts in Africa.

KRLD's Heather Behrens talks with the Beta Club's Jenny King and 6th grader Anna Speer about the project.
