Lisicki Cruises To Win In Texas Open
GRAPEVINE (AP) - No. 5 seed Sabine Lisicki beat Alberta Brianti 6-1, 6-2 in the second round of the Texas Open on Tuesday.
Sixth-seeded Shahar Peer was eliminated, losing 6-2, 6-4 to Johanna Larsson of Sweden.
No. 8 seed Irina-Camelia Begu and Aravane Rezai each advanced. Rezai outlasted Magdalena Rybarikova 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 in a first-round match, and Begu edged Gisela Dulko 6-4, 6-3 to reach the third round.
