Like LeBron, North Texas To Leave Heat

Did it seem muggy this morning? That's because it was the warmest morning we've had so far this year. It was also the first morning low that was in the 80's since Sept.1st of last year.

We already have rain to the northwest of the metroplex. It's in Montague, Cooke and Grayson Counties. They are finished warming up for the day and due to cool down some in fact. For the metroplex it'll be a quick run up to our second 100° of the year. At noon DFW was sitting at 95° already:

There are rain chances and storm chances this afternoon- mostly to the north and northwest of DFW

A cold front arrives by tomorrow morning. The best rain chances for the metro area are in the evening and around midnight:

We have BIG changes in the forecast ahead. Tomorrow will only get into the low 90's but for the rest of the week it looks like we get a significant break from the heat and stay in the 80's:

We could also get some big rains by Wednesday night and Thursday:

We need it. Every month so far has registered below-normal rainfall. It's the seventh driest start to a year on record.  It'll only take 2.16" of rain to surpass the normal July rainfall amount and end the streak:
