Latest on Severe Weather Threat for this weekend in North Texas
We are under a slight risk for severe weather Saturday night into Sunday morning across North Texas.
The timing of the storms for the DFW area will be between 3am and 9am early Sunday morning. The main threats will be strong gusty winds and hail 1" to 1 1/2". This will be a fast moving line of thunderstorms that sweeps thru quickly.
SATURDAY
Before our storms arrive Saturday night, we will see cloudy skies with occasional showers on Saturday. It will be breezy with temperatures in the low 60s during the day on Saturday.
SATURDAY NIGHT
This is the time period to watch out for strong to severe storms. Again, timing for DFW area looks to be between 3am and 9am.
SUNDAY
After the storms move out early Sunday morning, we will see some sunshine and mild temperatures with temperatures warning into the low 70s. There will be gusty west winds on Sunday which could lead to a high fire threat Sunday afternoon.
RAINFALL
Rainfall amounts Saturday into Sunday morning will range from around .50" to 1" across the area.
