Latest Information on Severe Threat

Here just past midnight watching the line of severe storms over 200 miles to the west of Fort Worth. Through the overnight they will move toward our area at around 35mph. At that pace they should be at the edge of Tarrant County around 6am.

These storms have been producing golf-ball sized hail and 60mph wind gusts.

These storms will be pushing through the metro area from 6am to 10am. When the line gets to the east of the Metroplex (over Navarro, Kaufman, Hunt and Lamar Counties) the intensity of the storms should increase. Here is the risk of Tornadoes overnight. Notice how the risk drops back significantly when you cross into Texas (and how high it is across Oklahoma and Kansas):
