Latest Counties With Burn Bans

HEAT ADVISORY THRU WEDNESDAY EVENING NOW..

The National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory thru at least Wednesday evening.  We can almost rest assured it will be extended to Friday, but in general they only like to issue Heat Advisory for 48-hour increments.  Thus it will likely be extended to Thursday tomorrow afternoon and so forth.

103 to 107 THE REST OF THE WEEK…
High temperatures will be between 103 and 107 the rest of the week as high pressure aloft dominates the southern Plains.  There is some indication the center of the high will retreat back to the west a little over the weekend.  But it will still be close enough to keep us in the 100s, but we will only see highs in the 100 to 102 range Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

BURN BANS...

Here are the counties that have Burn Bans in effect.  The officials in Collin County tell me they have responded to over 20 grass fires in the past two weeks.  Right now Dallas and Tarrant Counties do not have burn bans in effect, but it is probably best not to burn anything this time of year.
