DALLAS (AP) - A Dallas bar accused of turning away black customers has agreed to pay a small fine and apologize over enforcement of its dress code.
Kung Fu Saloon will pay two fees of $400 and issue letters of apology to a person who said he was told he wasn't properly dressed for the bar. DeAndre Upshaw accused the bar of selectively excluding black patrons with its code.
Upshaw launched a social media campaign against Kung Fu Saloon, which also has locations in Houston and Austin.
Upshaw also complained to the city, which outlaws enforcing a dress code without posting it outside the entrance.
