Komen 3-Day Brings Out Emotion Saturday

ADDISION (CBS11) - Saturday was Day 2 of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day.

Participants are walking about 20 miles each day.  They made their way through Addison on Saturday.

Breast cancer survivors and their supporters got emotional as they got closer to the finish line and hopefully closer to finding a cure.

"It has just been an awesome day," says Sherron Patterson, a breast cancer survivor.  "The community support is fantastic.  I'm a survivor.  There's other survivors out here.  We are walking to end breast cancer and we're going to do it."

The Komen 3-Day continues Sunday down Lover's Lane and through the West End.  It finishes in Fair Park.
