NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Yes, the holidays are upon us. It's National Selfie Day.
June 21, 2016 is the day that magical selfie elf invades your smart phone and forces you to take an oh-so-flattering image of yourself.
OK, maybe there is not a magical selfie elf, but it is National Selfie Day according to the people who profess these things. In this case it appears to be all of social media itself.
Anywho. Time to participate. Here is some info our friends at WOMC have passed along to help you create the perfect selfie. They tracked down some advice from supermodels on how to take the best pic so it must be great advice:
- Shoot from above (How long are your arms?)
- Make your hair wild (Easy to do in Texas)
- Find the good light (It's a sunny day in Texas, go outside!)
- Try an action shot (Don't hurt yourself)
- Blow a kiss (Then take a regular pic because you will hate that one)
- Use a selfie stick (You're taking this way to seriously)
- Make sure your outfit is rocking! (Always good advice)
You can see in the image above that our Doug Dunbar, Kaley O'Kelley and Ken Molestina have taken this sage advice in their selfies they posted recently.
