DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Law enforcement officials in Dallas said that a man wanted for indecent exposure and evading arrest turned himself in to authorities at the Dallas County jail on Monday morning. The man had previously been identified as 31-year-old Jibril Salami.

Last week, workers at a construction site in the 7200 block of Coach Light Drive told police that a man stripped naked, started inappropriate touching himself and exposed his anus before fleeing from the scene on foot. A day later at the very same site, a construction worker called police for the second time to report that the man had returned, and was again touching himself.

A police officer arrived at the scene and briefly chased the suspect on foot, but was unable to catch him that day. According to one of the construction workers, the indecent behavior had happened numerous times before.

After news of the incidents began to spread, community tips led authorities to naming Salami as the suspect. The police officer who chased him confirmed the man's identity, and a warrant for Salami's arrest was issued for a charge of evading arrest with a $50,000 bond.

However, further tips were not able to lead the Dallas Police Department to the man himself before he surrendered on his own Monday morning. Authorities are still investigating the indecent exposure claims, and additional charges could follow.
