How Much To Pay The Babysitter?
Babysitters in New York get the highest pay rate in the country, according to a survey by the Urbansitter website. One child costs an average of $15.34 per hour, add $1.50-$2.00 for a second kid, and about $3.00 for a third.
Most sitters have to pay their own way to and from home, as 56% of parents don't pay for transportation. Most parents "round up" when tipping and 27% never tip.
