Hot and Dry...It must be Summertime!

Summer officially began at 12:04am this morning, and boy will it feel like it over the next few days! Thats bad news for area lakes as we will be losing about a 1/3rd of an inch a day as we enter the hot, dry days. Despite some recent improvement in some lake levels, over the last 3 months some lakes have really been losing water fast.

Here is a look at some of the lake level changes over the past 3 months.

Unfortunately, they are going to drop as we head into the last few days of June and into July. An upper level ridge will continue to strentghen, blocking all storm systems from reaching us, and diverting them around North Texas.

Without any rain to cool us down we'll stay in the upper 60s and lower 70s, as we begin the day we'll just continue to warm up into the Mid to Upper 90s. Heres a look at Tonight's Lows and Tomorrow's Highs across North Texas.

As we head into the work week, the high strentghens and we could be approaching 100 by the middle of next week.
