HOF Warren Sapp Arrested, Charged With Solicitation In Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - Hall of Fame defensive lineman Warren Sapp was arrested this morning in Phoenix for allegedly soliciting a prostitute according to media outlet TMZ.
42-year old Sapp was also charged with assault. He was taken into custody at a hotel in downtown Phoenix.
Police were called to the hotel about 2:30 a.m. Monday. A woman told officers that she and another woman were working as escorts and an argument over money in a guest's room turned physical.
Police say Sapp told investigators he had paid one of the women for sex but he denied any assault.
Sapp was in Phoenix covering Super Bowl XLIX for the NFL Network.
Sapp played for Tampa Bay and Oakland and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
According to SI.com writer Richard Deitsch, Sapp has been suspended indefinitely without pay from NFL Network.
