Here It Comes! Cold Front Arrives Tonight, Freeze Tomorrow Night

This is the coldest air we have seen this early in the Fall season since 2000, thirteen years ago!

When we wake up tomorrow morning temperatures will be in the 40s with gusty north winds making it feel like it is in the 30s.

HERE'S THE TIMELINE

WIND CHILLS IN THE 30's

Wind chills will be in the 30s for much of the morning on Tuesday.  Bundle up with the winter coats, hats and gloves.

FREEZE WARNING FOR TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING

Skies will clear tomorrow night and temperatures will drop into the 20s for most areas.  A FREEZE WARNING is in effect for all of North Texas.  Here are the low temperatures I expect for Wednesday morning.

EARLIEST FREEZE IN OVER A DECADE

The freeze Wednesday morning will be the earliest freeze in the fall season since the year 2000.  The average date of the first freeze is November 22.  Last year, our first freeze didn't come until Dec. 10.  The earliest freeze on record is Oct. 22 back in 1898.
