Here I Go Talking Football Again but WAIT!! There's Enchiladas Involved!

I start this week's Cowboys game prediction with a nice batch of fresh Enchiladas that I dropped off at Valley Ranch for Coach Wade...

And one more nice little dirty shot for your food porn pleasure......

Okay let's get to it!

Finally! Enough with this bye week stuff and a Sunday WITHOUT some Cowboys football!!

Chris Johnson and the rest of his (2-2) Tennessee Titans (or the ol' Houston Oilers for you football purists who just CAN'T let go of the past) are coming to Jerry World to definitely bring their "A" game against the (1-2) Cowboys this weekend, as both teams are certainly hunting for playoff spots…

Bottom line: We GOTTA stop Chris Johnson. Okay, maybe there's a little more to it than that...

First, let's look at the point spread, because, hell, you can't ignore that! The Cowboys are favored by 6.5. Now, I'm not one to dwell on crazy statistical coincidences but Dallas just happens to be 0-2 when they aren't the team that's being favored.

On some positive observations for Dallas' cause, the Titans just came off of an upsetting 26-20 loss to the Broncos, in a game that Kyle Orton treated Tennessee's secondary like it was literally non-existent.  Even their likely offensive weapon in Chris Johnson snapped his streak of consecutive 100 yard games, posting only 53 yards and a fumble to boot. I'm hoping that this sort of crazy inconsistency that plagued Tennessee just a season ago, will show up again in Sunday's game.

Offensively, you've got Vince Young vs. Tony Romo at the helms. Young is shaky at times, having huge games against teams like Arizona, but then throw in a Pittsburgh sort of team, and he's making forced throws under pressure that send him into a tailspin. On top of that, he's got a shaky receiving core of guys to work with. Now, as far as Romo goes, he's got a powerful passing game and the help of stellar wide-outs in Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, a sturdy TE in Jason Witten and the running game of Marion Barber and Felix Jones.

Defensively, Tennessee does have a strong secondary, but I think in this battle, they'll try to rely on their offense to carry them, with the help of their running game. They've seemingly committed to running the ball, keeping it on the ground 102 times through the last three games, making it the third most in the NFL. As far as Dallas goes, they have a beast of a defense in linebackers DeMarcus Ware, Keith Brooking, Bradie James, and Anthony Spencer, nose tackle Jay Ratliff, and corner backs Mike Jenkins and Terence Newman. This is surely not going to be a clash of mediocrity.

As far as my take goes, I think the Cowboys offense is just gonna be too much for the Titans to manage, and my enchiladas will come through ONCE AGAIN, making your final score, Dallas over Tennessee, 28-17…
