Heim Craft BBQ

I heard about the newest BBQ spot in Fort Worth with an hour-long line and I had to investigate. What I found was Travis and Emma Heim working out of a BBQ trailer in the Republic Street Bar parking lot on Hattie Street.

Could the BBQ be really this good that people would wait in 100 degree heat? Yes!

"It's pretty surreal that we've gotten to this point where people are willing to wait in line, but it's just incredibly encouraging," said co-owner Travis Heim.

Travis grew up cooking BBQ with his family, but things took off when his uncle gave them the smoker.

"We got this idea to have a big party and people really loved it. We got to where people were giving us like $10 and we called it Meat Club," Travis added.

I went behind the smoker to find out the secret to Heim BBQ in Fort Worth. Hey, someone's got to do the hard investigative reporting!
