LUBBOCK (AP) — A Lubbock shopping mall was closed after heavy snow collapsed part of the center's roof. No injuries were reported.

The South Plains Mall was closed Monday after the overnight collapse. The marketing manager at South Plains Mall, Ashley Knox, says the 1.2 million-square-foot center will be closed until engineers and authorities determine the roof is safe.

Senior property manager Beth Bridges says flat roofs like the one at the mall are vulnerable to heavy snow.

Lubbock has received nearly a foot of snow in the storm.
