Heat Across the Weekend
Hot and Humid has been the weather song here in north Texas since mid-June:
Today appears to sing the same tune. Slight storm chances show up across our southern counties:
A low pressure system down in Mexico is pumping moisture over the border into south Texas. This is deep pool of thick Gulf humidity:
As it continues to make its way into north Texas rain chances slip upward tomorrow:
Rain chances get even better still as we start the work week. Northwest flow aloft coming over a four-corners high pressure dome will help drive storms and fronts down from the Central Plains down into north Texas. We expect a frontal boundary to reach into our area by Tuesday, greatly increasing our rain chance:
This weather pattern could hold into the start of July. The extended outlook does show increased rain chances and less heat:
