Girl Dies After Bitten By Rattlesnake
A Pflugerville girl has died after being bitten by a rattlesnake near Possum Kingdom Lake. 23-month old Peyton Hood died at Cook Childrens Medical Center in Ft. Worth.
Her grandmother called 9-1-1 Tuesday night to report a snake had bitten the girl on the ankle. The exact circumstances are still not clear...but Texas Parks and Wildlife officials say 2 or 3 people a year die of snake bites in our state.
