Giant, 6-Inch Hailstone Found Near San Antonio May Break Records
HONDO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A giant hailstone that fell near San Antonio late April may break some records, the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio shared Friday.
The hailstone fell in the city of Hondo on April 28 and measures 6.4 inches in diameter.
It will be presented to a the State Climate Extreme Committee who will be tasked to "verify and determine" if any records were broken.
