Gas Prices Slip 1 Penny Across Texas

HOUSTON (AP) - Retail gasoline prices in Texas have slipped by a penny this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the statewide average was $3.57 a gallon.

The association says nationwide gasoline prices are down 5 cents, settling at $3.68 a gallon.

AAA Texas says Beaumont has the least expensive gasoline statewide, at $3.51 a gallon. Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Dallas and Fort Worth have the most expensive gasoline, at an average $3.58 a gallon at the pump.

The travel organization says gasoline prices continued a downward trend as crude oil prices stayed below $99 a barrel. Market analysts have cited concerns of a global economic slowdown.
