Rain Gone, Now It's Just Cold

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The very light precipitation that was with us this morning has ended for North Texas.  Clouds are clearing from west to east with sunny skies here in Fort Worth.  Skies will continue to clear overnight.  The winds will also decrease a few hours after sunset.  We have winds gusting between 35 and 40 mph all day long making it feel like it is in the teens.

There won't be much of a wind chill overnight and tomorrow morning, but air temperatures will drop into the teens and low 20s.  Here are some of the forecast lows for tonight.

COOL AND SUNNY TOMORROW
High pressure will slide into Texas tomorrow giving us mostly sunny skies to start the day with just a few high clouds arriving later in the afternoon.  Temperatures will be very cold to start the day will warm into the 40s in the afternoon.

SATURDAY… GET HEALTHY TEXAS
It will be chilly for the runners in Frisco as temperatures will start right around 30 degrees at 8am on Saturday.  Winds will be variable at about 5 to 10 mph in the early morning but will pick up thru the morning with winds out of the south 10 to 20 mph by the afternoon.  Temperatures will be pleasant after the cold weather we are experiencing now as we warm into the mid to even upper 50s in a few locations.

ANOTHER COLD FRONT ON SUNDAY
Another cold front will arrive on Sunday.  This one won't be as strong as today's front, but it will bring more gusty north winds to the area on Sunday afternoon and evening.  Moisture seems to be very limited with this front so we will just include a small chance of rain mainly for eastern areas of North Texas.  The European model is still hinting at a brief window of mixed precip for northeastern areas of North Texas, but we will not include that in the official forecast at this time.

NEXT WEEK
It looks to be a rather cool and dry week.  Temperatures will stay around 50 degrees each day with a mix of sun and clouds.  No real big weather makers in the offering next week.
