Free Chicken Strips With Concealed Handgun License
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Some Chicken Express restaurants are offering a deal to celebrate Independence Day.
A concealed handgun license is worth a free meal on July 4th at select locations in Arkansas and Louisiana.
The Facebook page for the Magnolia, Arkansas location says, "On Saturday July 4th we will be giving a FREE #1 combo to anyone with a Conceal Handgun License. This will be DINE IN ONLY. You must have your License with you! We hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!"
Several people have already posted supporting messages on the company's Facebook page.
Nick Rubits posted, "This is awesome, love seeing companies promoting the 2nd amendment!"
Chip Myre wrote, "Need to get your sister restaurants to do this!! REALLY, I don't need a free meal, just love to hear someone supporting the 2nd Amendment!!"
Another location in West Monroe, Louisiana is also offering the same deal to support 2nd Amendment rights.
CBS 11 checked to see if this deal was being offered in North Texas. Although Chicken Express is headquartered in Burleson, none of the local franchises appear to be offering the same deal.
A Chicken Express location in Bossier City, Louisiana ran a similar promotion a couple of years ago. At that time, the owner said it was one of the biggest Saturdays they ever had.
