July 4th Events Across North Texas

Irving: This year, the City of Irving will pay special tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces during its annual Independence Day parade and reception and fireworks show. Participants can show their American pride by decorating floats or walking in groups to highlight how they or their family served the United States.

The parade begins at 9 a.m. July 4 at Sowers Street and Irving Boulevard, near Millennium Park, and concludes about 10:30 a.m.

That evening, Irving residents can watch the city's tribute to freedom during the fireworks show beginning at 6 p.m. along the scenic Lake Carolyn, 601 E. Las Colinas Blvd. Live music by American Aquarium and the Irving Symphony Orchestra will be performed during the fireworks show.

Residents also can tune in to KRLD-AM (1080) for a live simulcast of the Irving Symphony Orchestra performance. Other activities include an 80-foot zip line, giant trampoline, obstacle course and food trucks.

Arlington: The city's Fourth of July parade was set to begin at 9:00 a.m. but has since been DELAYED one hour to 10:00 a.m. due to rainy weather.

Bedford: The City of Bedford will hold the annual 4thFest Independence Day Celebration at the Boys Ranch Park on Monday, July 4. The event will be packed with fun activities and a Fireworks Extravaganza that is sure to impress.

The 4thFest celebrations will kick-off at 3:00 p.m. with a ribbon cutting celebration for the completion of Phase One Park improvements and an inaugural performance by 'Twiggy' the Water Skiing Squirrel. At 4:00p.m. enjoy the InflataFun Area (ticket purchase required), a free Children's Pavilion Area, live music featuring Rodney Bowens and Live 80, a Classic Car Show and finally a salute to our soldiers. The firework show at 10:00p.m. will conclude the event.

Burleson: Chisenhall Fields is the place to be on July 4! The free event kicks off with a 7:30 p.m. Independence Day Celebration concert followed by an amazing fireworks show, which is choreographed to music. The concert headliner is ESCAPE, a Journey tribute band.

There was also set to be a parade at 9:00 a.m. on Monday morning, but wet weather forced the city to POSTPONE it until Saturday, July 9.

Coppell: The city's Spirit of Coppell Patriotic Parade had been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. but has been CANCELED due to stormy weather across North Texas.

Dallas: Enjoy live music and access to rides, games and concessions starting at noon on July Fourth at Fair Park. View the fireworks show from inside the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, on the State Fair of Texas Midway, or from various locations throughout the Fair Park grounds.

Duncanville: The City of Duncanville invites you to bring your family and friends to its annual Independence Day Celebration on Monday, July 4th.

The day will begin with a parade sponsored by the Duncanville Lions Club, and will close with a host of evening festivities in Armstrong Park. Attendees will be able to enjoy LIVE music, delicious food from local vendors, bounce houses for the kids, and the return of Duncanville's traditional Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza!

Admission is FREE and open to the public, though wristbands will be required for entry into the evening festivities.

Farmersville: Come join us for Farmersville's Annual Sparks of Freedom 4th of July Celebration sponsored by the Farmersville Community Development Corporation! This is a family friendly event that helps bring the surrounding communities together to celebrate our nations Independence Day in a fun and safe environment! Proceeds benefit the Farmersville Volunteer Fire Department!

Flower Mound: The Independence Fest 2016 evening program, which includes the free concerts, fireworks display, vintage car show, local business showcase, and a free Kid's Zone, presented by Hollywood Feed and CoServ, will take place at Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane in Flower Mound.

The Kid's Zone will include inflatables and bounce houses, a rock-climbing wall, and games for all ages. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and please note there is no on-site parking. However, attendees are encouraged to take advantage of free off-site parking and shuttle services.

Fort Worth: Make plans now to celebrate our nation's independence on and along the Trinity River at Fort Worth's Fourth! The family-friendly festival will take place on July 4 at Panther Island Pavilion. As always, general admission is free along with tubing and an entire kids zone. The free kid zone will include pony rides, face painting, bounce houses, interactive exhibits, zip lines, levee slide, water slides and more.

The celebration will take place all afternoon with family activities, tubing, jet ski and fly board shows plus live music from Texas Country artist Gary P. Nunn and high-energy cover band, Party Machine. Gates open at 2:00 p.m., live music will be from 6:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and the largest fireworks show on the Fourth of July in North Texas will begin at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Frisco: Freedom Fest kicks off at 4 p.m. at  the Simpson Plaza at City Hall. Don't miss one of the largest fireworks shows in North Texas, visible from the area around Purefoy Municipal Center and Toyota Stadium launched from the north field of Toyota Stadium after the FC Dallas soccer match.

Garland: Celebrate our nation's independence with a full afternoon of family fun beginning at 4 p.m. Monday, July 4, at Firewheel Town Center, 245 Cedar Sage Drive. Face painting, bounce houses, games, and live entertainment will be available. The celebration will culminate with a patriotic fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.

Grapevine: Grapevine celebrates in true patriotic style with the 34th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. The fireworks spectacular begins at 9:30 p.m. This year's show is set to be the biggest one ever and will take place at Oak Grove Park.

Hurst: Join the city of Hurst for their Stars and Stripes fireworks show at the Hurst Community Park at 601 Precinct Line Road. There will be inflatables, face painting and food vendors.

Activities begin at 5 p.m. with fireworks beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Keller: The city was planning a Fourth of July Bike Parade, but it was CANCELED due to rain and lightning. Instead, officials are encouraging residents to send in their biking photos through Facebook so that prizes can still be awarded.

McKinney: Make your Fourth of July holiday as festive as apple pie at the City of McKinney's Red, White, and BOOM! celebration. Independence Day kicks off with free family activities, live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks show. Families can also explore the many dining and shopping options that Historic Downtown McKinney has to offer.

Start the day in Historic Downtown McKinney and salute our Summer Olympians at the hometown parade with floats exhibiting the theme of "Going 4 Gold USA all the way!" Jarred Duran, Special Olympics athlete and senior at McKinney North High School, will serve as the Grand Marshal of the parade. Following the hometown parade, stop by the classic car, truck and cycle show.

In the evening, festivities continue at the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch as the Blue Water Highway Band takes the stage to provide entertainment. The fireworks show begins at 9:45 p.m.

Plano: Plano's All-American Fourth takes place at the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve on Monday, July 4. We will have a variety of food trucks onsite with food purchase available starting at 5 p.m. so come claim your spot early! The DJ will start at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin promptly at 9:30 p.m.

Waxahachie: Join the city of Waxahachie for a flower-filled 4th of July celebration with crape myrtles in full bloom during the 19th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival and Parade.

The theme for this year's festival is Pink Petals & Patriotism. The patriotic celebration will begin on Sunday, July 3, at 5 p.m. with the InterBank Tailgate Party at the Waxahachie Sports Complex on Broadhead Rd. This year, guests will enjoy a concert by the Tejas Brothers at 7:30 p.m. sponsored by Carlisle Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. Following the concert will be the spectacular H-E-B fireworks display at 9 p.m.
