Wilson Winchester, an Aggie freshman, has been elected the new mascot corporal for Reveille X. He will serve as Reveille's representative and accompany her to all appearances, events, and engagements during the 2025-26 school year.

The announcement was made during Texas A&M's recent Family Weekend activities.

Each year, a sophomore from Company E-2 in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets is selected as the primary caretaker and representative for the university's mascot after a semester-long tryout process.

As mascot corporal, Winchester will play a key role at the university. He will frequently interact with the media, faculty, staff, students, and visitors, speaking on behalf of Reveille.

According to the university, the selection process requires candidates to demonstrate hard work, responsibility, academic excellence, and a thorough knowledge of Reveille and Texas A&M traditions.

Company E-2 has been responsible for caring for Reveille since 1959.

In 2022, a fund was established to provide scholarships for the mascot corporal and their assistants.
