FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has changed its policy this year to disallow Confederate battle flags on display during events and activities.
Organizers said they changed the rules after several complaints in the past.
Vistors to the stockyards are allowed to wear the symbol on their clothing and accessories though.
However, they aren't allowed to wave the controversial flag or put it in a display.
The stock show is allowing the original Confederate flag (shown above) to fly since it's deeply rooted in Texas history and not seen as a symbol of racism, according to a stockyards spokesperson.
